The learning environment in Atlantic Hall is exceptionally conducive to individual student’s engagement

The learning environment at Atlantic Hall is exceptionally conducive to student engagement, boasting numerous outstanding attributes that positively influence student progress and achievement. The school is situated on a beautifully landscaped campus, adorned with trees, vibrant flowers, and well-maintained lawns, creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere.
Both the classrooms and hostels are airy, spacious, and consistently clean, providing an ideal setting for academic and personal growth. Our housekeeping team upholds the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all facilities.
Classrooms are arranged in quadrangles, fostering interaction and collaboration among students. Recent investments in technology have significantly enhanced the learning experience, ensuring fast and reliable internet access through multiple access points across the campus. This guarantees that both staff and students can securely access the internet for research and educational purposes at all times.

Our Technology Workshop is well-equipped, offering students creative opportunities to engage in design and cross-curricular, project-based work while also gaining practical skills essential for aspiring engineers.
To further support learning, the school possesses a wealth of ICT tools and resources that are readily available for students’ use. At the heart of this is the school’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), complemented by applications such as Doddle, Khan Academy, Mind Map, MyiMaths, MathsWord, Quizizz, and Boardworks, all of which are integral to the learning programme.
As a result of this extensive access to resources and IT, lessons are increasingly student-centred, outcome-oriented, and progressive.

A critical aspect of the school’s learning environment is its commitment to Safeguarding and Child Protection. Atlantic Hall is fully compliant with Lagos State Fire Regulations and holds a current certificate from the Fire Authorities, which is renewed annually. The school also adheres to Lagos State Health & Safety requirements, both of which were highlighted in the school’s most recent Quality Assurance Inspection.
As a member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS), Atlantic Hall goes to great lengths to ensure that our learners are protected in accordance with UK child safeguarding standards. This commitment is reflected in our safeguarding and inclusion statement: Atlantic Hall School is an equal-opportunity institution committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects the same from its employees. All new staff will be subject to enhanced pre-employment clearance, including identity checks, criminal background checks, qualification verifications, and employment history reviews, including an exploration of any gaps in employment. Additionally, two satisfactory professional references will be required and verified.

Nestled in the serene and scenic town of Epe, Atlantic Hall offers a tranquil learning environment away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Despite its peaceful rural location, the school remains easily accessible, just a few hours from the city centre via well-maintained road networks.
Students benefit immensely from the rich natural surroundings, which contribute to their academic success, as evidenced by the school’s excellent performance in external examinations. The extensive campus is home to a thriving farm that enhances hands-on learning. With a variety of fruit trees and crops, alongside a well-managed animal husbandry programme. The farm provides fresh produce and supports the rearing of domestic animals for consumption. Students actively engage with the farm as a vital part of their educational experience, blending theoretical knowledge with practical application in a truly unique setting.
A purpose-built Sports Centre and extensive playing fields provide ample opportunities for students to develop and showcase their athletic potential. The Sports Centre includes a swimming pool, ball courts, and a multi-purpose playing surface, all of which are extensively utilised by students throughout the week and on weekends.

Classrooms and hostels benefit from permanent electricity connectivity via generators and solar panels, as well as high-speed internet bandwidth of 400Mbps across all areas of the school campus.
Atlantic Hall’s average class size ranges between 15 and 20 students per classroom, though rooms are designed to accommodate up to 25 students. While compact, classrooms are well-equipped for their intended purpose, with nearly all featuring state-of-the-art interactive screens, high-resolution projectors, split-unit air conditioners, and the requisite classroom furniture.
The school’s nine laboratories are fully equipped with both essential IT resources and subject-specific tools necessary to uphold high standards of teaching, learning, and experimentation.
